Space Generation Congress 2015

The Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) is a global non-governmental organization and network which aims to represent university students and young space professionals to the United Nations, space agencies, industry, and academia. Membership in the SGAC is free and it only requires its members to be students or young professionals under the age of 35 working in the space sector or interested in space related activities. The SGAC connects its members in the local, national and international levels with activities done year round such as online discussions, local meetings and international events held in different locations around the world.
The Space Generation Congress (SGC) is one of the major events held by the SGAC it is held for three days every year in the week prior to the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in September-October. This year the IAC is held in Jerusalem and therefore the SGC will be held in Jerusalem Bloomfield Science Museum between October 8-10, 2015. The congress will include 3 day working groups in current space related subjects. The products and conclusions of these workshops are then presented at the UN COPOUS (Committee on Peaceful Use of Other Space) as well as at conferences and policy papers. The working group topics for this year include space policy, satellite communications, space entrepreneurship, as well as space exploration. SGC15 will also include activities such as distinguished guest lectures and a gala dinner with executives from the space community.
The Space Generation Congress is a great opportunity to familiarize yourself with the space community, develop personal and professional connections with young space activists from around the globe, as well as get to know the SGAC and the activities done year round.
